Will there be an orientation?
Yes, orientation will be on campus and will be conducted on August 8th.
9th Grade 8/8 9-11 am
10th -12th Grade 8/8 1-3 pm
Students will get the chance to walk their schedule, and meet your teachers and coaches!
Transportation and parking pass info will be available!
What will the school hours be?
The school day starts at 6:55am. Students arriving past 7:00 am will be marked tardy. The school day ends at 2:00pm.

Will there be sports?

Is this school focused on the “Arts”?
Davenport High School is a traditional comprehensive public school, based on residential zoning. Students will have opportunities to be a part of our Fine Arts programs without auditioning. DHS will also have extra-curricular activities for its students to engage in.
What career academies or other electives will Davenport High School have?
Davenport will offer a variety of career academy programs: Agriculture (focusing on Horticulture, Agri-Technology) Technology Design (focusing on Modeling and Simulation), Hospitality and Marketing (focusing on Fashion/Interior Design, Hospitality and Tourism, Culinary Arts and Media Production). We also plan on having a thriving Fine Arts program that will provide students opportunities to engage in Performing and Visual Arts.
Will I be able to continue my high school coursework if I was on an Advanced Placement or Dual Enrollment track at the new high school?
We will plan on offering an aggressive line up of course offerings in Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment. The courses would mirror our districts current path to remain consistent with what current high schools are offering. The office of Accelerated Programs will help make sure we are assisting our students transition into these courses.
